Coach Eddie Sposa
Eddie Sposa has been teaching tennis in South Florida for the past 30 years. He has been a member of the USPTA since 1978. He played his collegiate career at St. Leo College and Broward Community College. "Coach" Sposa got his start teaching at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac. He moved on to such clubs as The Quadrangle Racquet Club, Hemlock Farms Country Club, George English Tennis Center, Cardinal Gibbons High School and presently at Hagen Park in Wilton Manors. He has coached at the high school level at both St. Thomas Aquinas and Cardinal Gibbons where he won two state titles in 1994 and 2003. In fact, again he was just named Head Tennis Coach for the boys and girls teams at Cardinal Gibbons High School for upcoming 2009 season. Coach Sposa was named "Dairy Farmers State Coach of the Year" in 1994 and "The Miami Heralds Coach of the Year" in 2003. He lives in Coconut Creek with his wife Christine and two boys, Jimmy 22 and Nick 15 and dog Krystal.
Eddie specializes in teaching beginner players as well as advanced students. He has private lessons available as well as clinics and group lessons. Coach Sposa also runs the famous Tennis/Sports Camp at Hagen Park which he has run in South Florida since 1992. He runs this camp at Hagen Park for 13 weeks during the year.
